Pyramids excursion (Giza, Sakkara, Dahshur) Private tour
The Pyramids excursion Day Tour itinerary:
At 2:00 am you will be picked up from your chosen hotel in Hurghada and drive about 5 hours to Sakkara. Upon arrival in Sakkara, you will meet our Egyptologist for a great day tour of the most impressive pyramids in Egyptian history. You will start with the Step Pyramid of Sakkara, which is considered the oldest large stone structure in the world. It was built in the 3rd dynasty for King Djoser around 2650 BC.
The tour then continues to Dahshur. The pyramid field of Dahshur is located about 10 km south of Saqqara. The pyramids here include the famous Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which were built by King Senefru in the 4th Dynasty. The Red Pyramid, Seneferu’s third funerary monument, is the first real (rectilinear) pyramid ever to be successfully erected. It is called “the red one” because of the reddish color of the stones used in its construction. The Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur are impressive evidence of the architectural development that led to the construction of the Great Pyramid and its companions at Giza. Then we drive to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch.
We then experience an ancient adventure with a tour of the pyramid plateau. Discover the last remaining ancient wonder of the world: the pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Mycerinus and Chephren. Learn more about the history of these wondrous structures, which still retain the secret of their construction. Enjoy the unique view of the pyramids rising from the golden sands of Giza from the plateau. This is the moment to take the pictures of a lifetime! Before we leave the site, we should say hello to Abu El Hol, the 3000 year old Great Sphinx
At the end of this impressive Pyramids excursion day tour, our air-conditioned car will take you back to Hurghada, where you will be transferred to your hotel
