Luxor 2 days tour private
The Luxor 2 day tour itinerary:
Day 1:
You will be picked up from your hotel around 5am and drive to Luxor in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to visit Karnak Temple. With an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate guide, our guests will visit the open-air museum of Karnak. We always buy the tickets in advance to make it easier for our customers to access and skip the queues. The visit takes about 2 hours as the Karnak temple complex occupies a huge area with temples built by several Egyptian rulers. Continue to the east bank of Luxor where you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterwards we continue our tour and visit the Luxor Temple. It was the center of the most important festival, the Opet festival. The temple was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut and Chons and was built during the New Kingdom by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple served as a backdrop for the rituals of the festival. In the evening, experience the fantastic sound and light show in the Karnak Temple. You will then drive to the hotel in Luxor to spend the night there.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we meet in the lobby at 09:00. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, the splendor of the magnificent architecture used for burial. There the magnificent tombs of the ancient kings were discovered, carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the pharaohs’ afterlife. The most famous tombs are those of King Thutmosis I, Thutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramses VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.
After a delicious lunch, be inspired by the remarkable architecture and finally visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the only female ruler of ancient Egypt. You will pass by the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
At the end of this fantastic day tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Hurghada.
