The schedule of Cairo 2 days tour:
Day 1:
At 2:00 am you will be picked up from your chosen hotel in Hurghada and drive approximately 540 Km hours to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, meet our Egyptologist to start a wonderful day tour in Cairo by first visiting the Egyptian Museum. Here the most beautiful artifacts of ancient Egypt, royal exhibits and the amazing treasures of King Tutankhamun are on display. Your guide will show you around the museum and explain all the highlights. Then we’ll head to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch.
Next step: an ancient adventure with a tour of the Giza Plateau. Discover the last remaining ancient wonder of the world: the Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Mycerinus and Chephren. Learn more about the history of these wondrous structures, which still retain the secret of their construction. Enjoy the unique view of the pyramids rising from the golden sands of Giza from the plateau. This is the moment to take the pictures of a lifetime! Before leaving the site, say hello to Abu El Hol, the 3000 year old Great Sphinx.
Then drive to the hotel with a fantastic pyramid view to spend the night.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we meet in the lobby at 09:00. We visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. The Citadel of Cairo, which served as Egypt’s seat of government until the 1860s, is a magnificent fortress. It was built during the reign of Salah ad-Din. Construction work began in 1176 and was completed in 1182. The mosque was built between 1830 and 1848 and was given the name “Alabaster Mosque” because most of the walls were made of pure alabaster. The mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
Afterwards we will enjoy our lunch in a local restaurant.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, the oldest and most famous bazaar in the Middle East. It was founded in 970 AD and offers a rich selection of traditional crafts, goods and cultural experiences. Then we visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, the Church of Abu Serga, the Synagogue of Ben Ezra.
At the end of this impressive day tour, you will drive back to Hurghada in our air-conditioned car, where you will be transferred to your hotel.
