Experience the rich history and architectural marvels of ancient Egypt with our 3 days private tour Luxor and Aswan. This journey takes you through the most iconic sites in Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel, offering a perfect mix of exploration, learning, and relaxation. Whether it’s visiting the magnificent temples, viewing the breathtaking tombs of pharaohs, or exploring engineering marvels like the High Dam, this tour provides a deep dive into Egypt’s fascinating past.
Your adventure begins early, around 5 am, when we pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada. You’ll travel comfortably in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, where your first stop is the Karnak Temple. As the largest temple complex in Egypt, Karnak is a breathtaking open-air museum of ancient temples built over centuries by different rulers. With your expert Egyptologist guide, you’ll explore this vast site for about 2 hours.
Next, head to the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll visit the tombs of the ancient pharaohs. These richly decorated tombs, carved deep into the desert rock, were filled with treasures to accompany the pharaohs in the afterlife. You’ll visit three of the most famous tombs, including those of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI.
Afterward, you’ll visit the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only female pharaoh, and admire the Colossi of Memnon, the towering statues that have stood for thousands of years. After a day filled with history and wonder, you’ll travel to Aswan, where you’ll check into a comfortable hotel for the night.
After breakfast, you’ll set out for another day of exploration in Aswan. Your first stop is the High Dam, an incredible engineering feat built in the 1960s. From the top of the dam, you can enjoy spectacular views of Lake Nasser and beyond.
Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, where you’ll learn about ancient stone-carving techniques and discover why this enormous structure was abandoned due to a crack. Afterward, take a break for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. After a short motorboat ride, you’ll explore this beautiful temple, which was relocated to save it from flooding after the construction of the dam. Wander around the island and soak in the peaceful atmosphere before heading back to your hotel for the night.
On the final day, you’ll enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a 3-hour drive to the magnificent Abu Simbel. These two massive temples, built by Ramses II for himself and his queen Nefertari, are some of the most impressive monuments in Egypt. The walls of the temples are covered in detailed carvings that tell the story of Ramses II’s battles and family life.
After exploring the temples, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Hurghada, arriving in the evening.
This tour offers a comprehensive look at Egypt’s ancient history, taking you from the grandeur of Luxor’s temples to the awe-inspiring beauty of Abu Simbel. With a knowledgeable Egyptologist guide, comfortable accommodations, and private transportation, you’ll enjoy a personalized and unforgettable journey through the heart of Egypt’s ancient wonders.
