Luxor 2 days with hot air balloon
Day 1:
You will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 05:00 and drive to Luxor in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to visit Karnak Temple. With an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate guide, our guests will visit the open-air museum of Karnak. We always buy the tickets in advance to make it easier for our customers to access and skip the queues. The tour takes about 2 hours as the Karnak temple complex occupies a huge area with temples built by several Egyptian rulers.
We then continue our tour and visit the Luxor Temple. It was the center of the most important festival, the Opet festival. The temple was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut and Chons and was built during the New Kingdom by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple served as a backdrop for the rituals of the festival. Then it’s time to rest your legs and have a delicious lunch before checking into a 5-star hotel in Luxor and spending the night.
Day 2:
Check out early in the morning and cross the Nile to meet your pilot, crew and fellow hot air balloon passengers. Feel your excitement grow as the hot air balloon is inflated and you climb into the basket. Fly over the Valley of the Kings, the Hatshepsut Temple and the green fields next to the surrounding villages.
After landing, your Egyptologist will be waiting for you to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the breathtaking Colossi of Memnon. Valley of the Kings is the splendor of the magnificent architecture used for burial. The magnificent tombs of the ancient kings were discovered there, carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the pharaohs’ afterlife. The most famous tombs are those of King Thutmosis I, Thutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramses VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.
After a delicious lunch, be inspired by the remarkable architecture and finally visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the only female ruler of ancient Egypt. You will pass by the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
At the end of this fantastic day tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Hurghada.
