Dendera & Abydos day trip private
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by our driver, then our air-conditioned vehicle will take you to Dendera Temple, which is three hours away from Hurghada. The German-speaking Egyptologist will welcome you on site and show you two of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
Dendera Temple is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love and art. It is the last Egyptian temple built in the Greco-Roman period. It houses a beautiful carving of Queen Cleopatra VII and offers a breathtaking view of the landscape.
Then we drive about 2 hours to Abydos. The Abydos Temple, one of the most sacred places in the world for the ancient Egyptians, is a cult center of the god Osiris and was a popular place for burials and pilgrimages. It was built around 1300 BC by Seti I and his son Ramses II. You can discover the Temple of Seti I, which is known for its incredible carvings and reliefs. You can also visit the List of the Kings of Abydos and the Osireion Monument, built in honor of the god Osiris, as well as a nearby temple built by Ramses II, which tells the story of the most powerful man of the Egyptian empire.
You will enjoy a very tasty Egyptian lunch with your guide and then we will take you back to your hotel.
